Chloe – Lady Marionette

This is my first female puppet build, she is made of an old hardwood chair, thrown out, the torso is made from construction pine. Chloe’s proportions are fairly realistic, I haven’t decided on her clothing yet, but fancy making a kimono, or similar Asia style garment.

I am thinking to make a few wood marionettes and then work on their outfits all together, this will allow me to concentrate and focus on my woodworking and then to do the same with the clothes, each skill requires reorientation and development.

Yes that is blood on her thigh, nicks are pretty common, especially if I haven’t carved for a little while, I am now using gloves more, which is a little uncomfortable and not so easy to hold stuff, but does mean more relaxed and free knife/chisel use.
